Netizens are super thrilled for Vidya Balan’s upcoming movie Shakuntala Devi. The biographical film is based on the real life of world-renowned mathematician, writer, and professor Shakuntala Devi. She has been nicknamed ‘Human Computer’ because of her extraordinary talent and skill in solving complex mathematical problems without any mechanical aid. The film also features Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta in prominent roles.
One interesting character in the movie is that of Luca Calvani, an Italian model and actor who plays Vidya’s love interest in the film. A source revealed, “He was quiet, professional and kept to just acting out the scenes given to him. However, this lasted for less than a day because Luca discovered on set, that he was Hindustani by heart”
Also adding “Very soon he got accustomed to our way of speaking and habits and even adopted a few. Saying “theek hain” became a habit with Vidya. She would pull pranks on him and he became so accustomed to it that by the end of the shoot he never even bats an eyelid. It was the first time he shot a song and dance sequence and had an absolute ball shaking a leg with her. We found him humming the song as he left the set that day. We cut a cake for him on his last day of shoot and he was so touched that he got a little emotional. We went home that night to a series of heartfelt Instagram posts appreciating Anu, Vidya, Keiko and the crew”
We cannot wait to see this twisted romance bloom on-screen. The trailer of the movie has definitely got fans stirred. Marking her inadvertent foray into the streaming space, this Vidya Balan starrer film will be released on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on July 31, 2020.
